Arriva Rail London (ARL) works with partners and organisations to raise awareness of rail safety amongst school students and run outreach programmes.
Improving Rail Safety Awareness in Schools
ARL has worked with Rail Safe Friendly (RSF), which provides schools and the rail industry with an opportunity to work together towards a common goal: improving rail safety in all schools using content from the Network Rail Switched On Rail Safety website.
RSF will be working with 150 schools on the London Overground network to deliver this programme.
Education and careers programme
We are working with the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) and The Talent Foundry on a unique school outreach programme aimed at secondary school and college students.
The Talent Foundry programme aims to increase social mobility by helping young people from underserved backgrounds discover what they are amazing at, develop valuable new employment skills and take that first step into the world of work.
Their work is founded on two core beliefs, and these underpin all our work:
- Firstly, we believe that everyone has something they can be amazing at. They just need to discover what that is, and we can help them do that.
- Secondly, we believe that all young people deserve equal opportunities in life, regardless of their background or financial circumstances.
