Sound of the Overground: Embracing Neurodiversity – Episode two now live!
18 March 2025

Episode two of Sound of the Overground, a six-episode pilot podcast series for Arriva Rail London (ARL) employees, is now live.
In this episode, George and Bentley are joined in the studio by Shaminder Uppal, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) manager, and Liam O’Kane, operations trainer, for an open conversation about neurodiversity to mark Neurodiversity Celebration Week.
Liam shares his personal experience as a parent of an autistic son, offering a heartfelt perspective that comes with raising a neurodivergent child. Shaminder, drawing from her expertise in EDI, provides insights into how we can create more inclusive environments at work and beyond.
Episodes one and two are available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
As part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, occupational health and safety specialist, John Mortlock, has also shared his inspiring story of living with someone who is neurodivergent – both as a parent and a sibling. Read the article here.
